CPF funding for projects for the protection of the Cyclades

26.04.2018

The CycladesPreservation Fund, based in M. UK, is encouraging the implementation of projects in various islands of the Cyclades by inviting those interested in applying for a grant to submit their proposals on the online application form by the end of April 2018.

Applications should fall within at least one of the Fund’s key areas of interest as well as the CPF’s preferred project types, and priority will be given to projects that can be replicated.

The call is open to, inter alia, local non-profit organisations, associations, unions, social cooperatives and/or other local bodies, including research centres.

Non-local organisations or individuals already active in the region are also eligible for grants and strategic partnerships, given their ability to offer the islands and their inhabitants development opportunities.

All applicants must demonstrate strong leadership qualities and emphasize an integrated “bottom-up” approach that will have a positive impact on the community. Learn more here

A few words about the Cyclades Conservation Fund

The Cyclades Conservation Fund is a charity established in October 2017 in the UK to support sustainable initiatives and promote the conservation of the outstanding beauty and natural value of the Cyclades. It is a group of Greek and foreign friends of the Cycladic islands who believe in the potential of the Cycladic islands to evolve in a positive way and preserve their unique history, culture, traditions and environmental heritage, while remaining popular tourist destinations worldwide. Among the co-founders of the Fund is the well-known British businessman Ben Goldsmith who has undertaken similar actions for other well-known international tourist destinations.
