“Europe in my Region” blog competition for EU-funded projects

10.08.2018

European citizens are invited to take part in the pan-European blogging competition “EU in my Region” by writing a blog post about an EU-funded project. In particular, anyone entering the competition will have to write an article about any EU-funded project, link it to stories about individuals, a group of people or a region as a whole and post it on a blog in any official EU language.

The three winners will be invited to a personalised and comprehensive 3-week introductory training programme in the field of EU-level communication, with all accommodation and travel expenses covered. They will experience first-hand the work in a communication department of an EU institution, in a communication company and in a media outlet covering European affairs in Brussels.

According to the European Commission’s announcement, all posts that respect the rules and the deadline are accepted, and editorial independence is guaranteed. If someone does not have a personal blog, they can submit a post about one of the EU projects from a social media outlet where it is published (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).

Those over 18 years of age must upload the link from their blog to the platform by 31 August 2018.

More information about the competition is available at http://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/el/policy/communication/euinmyregion/blogging/.
