A few words about the “Bridges of Knowledge and Cooperation” initiative
The Knowledge and Cooperation Bridges Initiative (www.knowledgebridges.gr), implemented by the National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT) with the support of the Ministry of Development and Investment, aims to network Greeks, regardless of their place of residence and professional employment, in order to contribute to the strengthening of cooperation ties between them and the development of the country. A telling difference of the Initiative, compared to other similar national and international initiatives, is that it emphasizes primarily on the utilization of the knowledge and know-how of Greeks operating abroad, and not necessarily or exclusively on their repatriation.
The Initiative draws on the accumulated experience, expertise, specialised staff, tools and digital infrastructure of EKT. Within the framework of the Initiative and with the operation of a modern digital platform as the central axis, targeted services are provided and actions and events are implemented, covering the following areas: networking, promotion of Greeks inside and outside the country, mapping of human resources, provision of specialized information.
