“Real Skills for Scientists – Engineering Sciences” Webinar Series. Webinar 1: Creating, strengthening your CV

The National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT), in the framework of the Knowledge and Cooperation Bridges Initiative, in collaboration with R.E.A.L. Science and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, are organising the new cycle of “Real Skills for Scientists” webinars on 18 and 25 May 2023. After five successful webinar cycles, Real Skills for Scientists returns in May with the organisation of the sixth cycle in the field of Engineering Sciences.

The webinar series, consisting of 2 webinars with qualified speakers on topics such as entrepreneurship, research in industry, etc., is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, PhD and postdoctoral researchers, as well as young researchers of all scientific fields, levels and career stages.

In the framework of the seminars, young scientists, young professionals and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet online and discuss with renowned scientists from Greece and abroad, who will share their own career experiences. The speakers come from both academia and business.

All seminars have as a common axis the development of skills for the professional employment of young scientists and researchers.

The 1st webinar will take place on Thursday 18 May 2023 (17.00-18.30). The webinar will present the Bridges of Knowledge and Cooperation, R.E.A.L. Science and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation. The speakers will then take the floor, who will talk about creating a CV, the soft & hard skills that empower the candidate in the labour market, and how to achieve career development goals.
