SUMMARY:"Real Skills for Scientists - Engineering Sciences" Webinar Series. Webinar 2: Access to finance\, networking and entrepreneurship
DESCRIPTION:The National Documentation and Electronic Content Centre (EKT)\, in the framework of the Knowledge and Cooperation Bridges Initiative\, in collaboration with R.E.A.L. Science and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation\, is organising the new cycle of “Real Skills for Scientists” webinars on 18 and 25 May 2023. After five successful webinar cycles\, Real Skills for Scientists returns in May with the sixth cycle in the field of Engineering Sciences. \nThe webinar series\, consisting of 2 webinars with qualified speakers on topics such as entrepreneurship\, research in industry\, etc.\, is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate students\, PhD candidates\, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers\, as well as young researchers of all scientific fields\, levels and career stages. \nIn the framework of the seminars\, young scientists\, young professionals and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet online and discuss with renowned scientists from Greece and abroad\, who will share their own career experiences. The speakers come from both academia and business. \nAll seminars have as a common axis the development of skills for the professional employment of young scientists and researchers. \nThe 2nd webinar will take place on Thursday 25 May 2023 (17.00-18.30). During the webinar\, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions to renowned researchers about how to fund their research and/or their business\, and to network with the speakers and participants. At the same time\, the Bridges of Knowledge and Cooperation\, R.E.A.L. Science and the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation will be presented. \nParticipation is free of charge\, but pre-registration is required via the participation form \n  here\n. \nFor more information you can email events@ekt.gr.
